About us
The vision of the EY Foundation is that all young people in the UK, whatever their background, are empowered to fulfil their potential and successfully transition into the workplace. We are committed to working on both the supply and demand side of the labour market, leveraging our professional heritage to support employers to make their recruitment processes and working practices more accessible to a young, diverse talent pipeline.
The young people we support are all from low-income households and eligible for Free School Meals - which means a household income of less then £16,190. Historically, 6% are carers, 39% do not have English as their first language and 70% have been from an ethnic minority background. Many face multiple barriers to employment and are the highest risk of becoming ‘Not in education, employment or training’ (NEET).
